Palestine

Capital of: Ramallah

Ramallah is correct because it functions as the administrative center and de facto seat of government for the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank. Key institutions—such as the president’s and prime minister’s offices and several ministries—operate from Ramallah, and many foreign missions to the PA are based there. Context: Palestinians claim East Jerusalem as their capital, but due to the region’s political situation, most PA institutions work from Ramallah. To remember it, think “R for Ramallah, R for runs the PA.” Bethlehem is famed for its religious sites, Nablus for its historic markets, and Gaza City is the largest city in the Gaza Strip.
